How to connect to a server
A step-by-step guide for Java Edition and Bedrock. It takes half a minute.
Java Edition (PC)
- Launch Minecraft and in the main menu click on Multiplayer.
- Click on Add Server (Add server).
- Into the field Server Name write a title as you like (e.g. Our server).
- Into the field Server Address insert the address from the server card — e.g.
play.fenixcraft.cz. You'll copy the address using the 📋 button directly from our page. - Click on Done and then by double-clicking the server you enter the game.
You don't need to list the port. If the server uses a port other than the default port (25565), it usually has
SRV record — just enter the domain name without the port. On our site, you can see the port in the server details; if it’s different, add it after a colon (play.server.cz:25566).
Bedrock Edition (mobil, konzole, Windows)
- Open Minecraft (Bedrock) and click on Play → Servers.
- At the bottom, switch to Add Server (Add server).
- Fill in Server Name a Server Address — u Bedrocku including the port,
typicky
play.server.cz:19132. - Save and connect.
Bedrock doesn't know how SRV records — that's why you must always specify the port. Our site shows it separately for Bedrock servers.
What does the server status mean?
- online — the server responded and reports the number of players.
- offline — no one is listening at the address (connection refused); the server is not running or has a different address.
- Cannot be verified — We cannot reach the address from our network (the request times out). The server may still be running: many Czech hosting providers filter foreign addresses. We therefore never claim that such a server is not running.
Something isn't working?
- Check the version — the server may require a different one than yours.
- Typos in the address are the most common mistake, use the 📋 button.
- A firewall or antivirus may block outgoing connections to the game port.
- Check the server status in our status check.
